This is the first Junto I've participated in in over a year and a half. How time flies!
Process used: I downloaded the file, converted it to .WAV (resampling to 44.1K/24bit), loaded it into iZotope's IRIS and began to sculpt out the sound. (IRIS is perfect for this type of sonic sculpturing, though the editing tools could use a few updates.) I wanted so much to upload the version with just a touch of delay and reverb...nicely rounds out and adds very nice depth to the sound. But there's that word: add. And this is all about subtraction. I did throw a bit of Ozone 5 on to focus the sound a bit. That's it in a nutshell.
