I don't really like bios or telling anyone why I do certain things but since most sites ask about this info and many people have asked me why I do what I do and why I am a solo artist........
Here we go;
I work with computers for a living but I am a musician/artist by birth.
I became a solo artist around 2004. After many, many, many years of playing in all sorts of bands.
I really enjoy playing in many musical styles and bands as it is a reward unto itself that goes beyond the mere learning factor.
It is highly rewarding to ride the big wave of a well crafted song and even more so when done in front of an audience.
But. I had to take the solo approach as a result of different and unrelated situations;
1 -. I do not have enough free time for doing everything that I like to do, including building electric guitars, reading, learning network and general computer things and doing some graphic art like fractals.
2 -. I do not have time or space for rehearsal and drilling a band.
3 -. I am a control freak who likes things a certain way and if I wrote the darned song it is going to be played the way I wanted it to be played from the begining but I can be flexible here if others give in good ideas for the band.
4 -. I lack a style. I just can't play in a full metal or full pop or reaggae band. I like so many different musical styles that everything that I write is always somehow differentand in general can not be encapsulated within a definite musical style. I usually call it Electro Pop Rock for lack of a better idea really. I'm not as weird and "out" as Frank Zappa or Mike Keneally, but many people find it hard to specify what genre my music would fall into.
5 -. I was stuck during almost a year within my apartment due an illness and had nothing better to do than to sell all my analog equipment (boy do I miss my old Mesa/Boogie DC-30!!) and buy me a PC and learn how to use it.
All this led to my finding about home recording, software sequencers, Virtual instruments, music forums and all media available for artistic expression and free distribution. A new universe had opened in front of me!!!
My music and Fractal art can be found in several places on the web just google my name and you'll likely find a few places where to listen or look at my humble creations including a few torrents. Not that I am famous by any means, but I have spread my tunes all over the place.
My main tools for music and art making are;
Music;
FL Studio, Reaper, Image Line plugins, Camel Audio, Maxx Claster's synths, Line 6, AcmeBarGig, Ohm Force,.
Graphics;
Incendia, Apophysis, GIMP, VirtualDub, Avidemux
