Originates from a small town slowly becoming known for its drum and bass talent. Hailing from Milton, Ontario Canada were he fell in love with the music in the summer of 1998. With just a taste of drum and bass, Ray instantly knew that he wanted to learn how to dj himself. He quickly picked up the skill and spent many long hours crafting his techniques and buying vinyl. Over the years to come he would create his own known style of mixing. And became known underground by playing out at clubs in and around the Greater Toronto Area. His knowledge of the drum and bass scene from old to new is hard to touch, Earning himself the nickname the encyclopedia of dnb due to the fact that he can answer almost any question about any dj, producer, label or tune out there, this just shows how dedicated he is and what a true love and passion he has for the music.
The production chapter of his career began in 2003, When he developed a hunger for making the music not just playing it out. It quickly became apparent that he had a calling for this side of the drum and bass scene as well. He has spent the last few years hustling his way through the scene in Toronto, ON. Dis-A-Ray represents the infamous crew of dj's and producers known as the Hektic Kru, as well as PJC. He has played on almost every radio show in the area including Souljah Sessions Radio, KrisisDNB.com, ProtokolRadio.com and Bassjunkees.com.
He is currently a rotating resident for Hektic Thursdays at Star Lounge in Hamilton, ON and the Hektic Radio show on bassjunkees.com every Tuesday night from 7pm-10pm (EST),
