General Bounce is 29 year old Dave Gray, a DJ known across the North for playing bounce (of course), hard house, scouse house and hard trance.

After years of playing in the pubs and bars of West Yorkshire, Dave came to the attention of the local hard dance scene when he became a resident for Shock at the Kube in Wakefield in 2005. He quickly became known for his widely-influenced sets combining happy scouse house melodies with banging hard house beats. As Shock was coming to an end in 2007, he began promoting himself through the internet and his DJing career has continued to grow ever since.

From 2007 onwards he became a resident for Nostalgia at Viva in Wakefield, and also began to appear at bounce and scouse house events in the North West at the heart of the scene. He has gained a big following in the area which led to him playing at some of the biggest events in the bounce scene such as Sanctuary vs Frequency and Bounce Therapy. Throughout all this Dave kept a firm interest in hard house, and his ability to play banging sets of all things hard gained enough recognition to earn him 4th place at the Parlez Vous DJ Competition Final in 2007.

During the last 5 years Dave has played alongside some of the most famous names in bounce and hard dance such as Alex K, Rob Tissera, Andy Farley, Mark EG, Amber D, Rachel Auburn and many more. In 2009 he made his first steps as a producer, working on tracks with LMP, Groove Control and Sonic Bounce. It was that year he had a huge club hit with the bounce track "Blue Angels".

10 years of consistent hard work finally paid off in September 2010 when Dave made his debut as a Cheeky Tracks resident at Rave On. From this point on his name has blown up bigger than ever. Dave now plays regularly for various hard dance events right across the North alongside his Rave On residency, and even fulfilled his dream of playing at the legendary Wigan Pier Nightspot.

This year he joined the Cheeky Tracks artist team, and is regularly working hard in the studio with their in house producers. His tracks are already gaining much attention from many big hard dance DJs and record labels. His first hard dance track, Rudeboiz feat Lisa Hart "Through The Nite" (Audox & General Bounce remix) was signed to the established Electrik Shandy label and reached #7 on the Trackitdown hard dance chart, as well as becoming Tune Of The Month on the Kung Fu Wax podcast. He has since had tracks signed to N:Gaged and Defiance, and scored a Bounce Heaven Downloads chart #1 hit with "Angel", a collaboration with Brutal Bounce.

Recently Dave has also collaborated with Klubfiller and Energy Syndicate, and is regularly making guest appearances on the Cheeky Boys Radio Show, as well as taking his unique blend of tunes even further afield throughout the year. Dave now works on promotions for the Cheeky Tracks record label and has also launched a new alias, The GHB Project, under which he will solely be playing filthy hard house and nu NRG.
