Gene Hoffmann 2hr Set @ LGM Brisbane [supporting Planetary Assault Systems Live] 5-Jan-2013

This was my first set in Brisbane for the LGM crew, so I unashamedly threw in lots of my all-time favourite tracks from the past year or so. I enjoy mixing the most when I’m throwing in lots of stuff and taking risks. When you get it right it’s so much fun and very rewarding, and when you have a crowd like the Brisbane techno crew going bananas on the dancefloor as you play then that’s as good as it gets for a DJ in my opinion….and that Nexo PA….holy shit….it’s been a long while since I’ve really loved a club system like that.

….and as for Luke Slater…. how can I describe it? Wow. Just Wow. EPIC. I was lucky enough to catch him live twice within a week and he was so good. It’s awesome to see one of your true techno heroes play live, I was very lucky to have the opportunity to play two hours right before him and it was really nice to meet him and see that he’s a cool guy. I’ve learnt over the years that not all of your heroes live up to your expectations.
