holyjesusfuckingshit this is sooo gooood giiimme moooooar!
cool. that snare drum is making me smile on each hit :D
ok. ill take a listen to the other one tomorrow, but i just gotta say that this is more or less perfect. the only complaints i have is that i want the bass a bit higher in the volume, and i want downpitched glitches to be a bit lower. otherwise its damn perfect. that beat and that bassline fit so damn well together. a very simple song in a way, lots of htings happening but the setup is simple and to the point: a beat, and a bassline. and such a lovely beat and such a lovely bassline it is!
@mattt: ;) well. what can i say: if you like it, its gold.
@The Verb: i know.l its the stupid soundcloud player fucking it up i guess. sounds great on my computer, but hey. its rendered in 48khz, and i guess the sc doesnt like that. noting to do i guess. ill update them all in 44.1 some day. i kinda figured that it would work, cause it worked before it went gold. heh.
as i said, some reprogramming of the percussion is in order, but hey. its an early WIP so bear with us eh?
yep, were aware of the filtering lfo here and the way it comes in (wrong). well fix that later. perhaps.
holyfuck! more!
sss ssss ssss sss uuuuu bb b b b bb bb ! :D
@Abreaktor: thank you thank. the demo is just about to be finished (just need to record the vocals and do some mixing and whatnots).., and ofcourse it will be free to use/abuse/do what the hell you want with.
@nhomas: heh. from the beginning the idea was to have that part as the only bass, but after hooking up the bassguitar and playing along we decided that a real bass was needed aswell, so we remade the clicky thingy to a more melodic piece instead. we were thinking of taking it out completely but decided that it somehow sets the mood for the whole thing so we left it there.
gogogo blip blip go blip blip bass blip goooo! :D
@Son of Akira: mind? hell no, i would be honored. go for it man :)
i like this alot. not so much a fan of the intro, but this i really like. it was a bit suprising, which is a good thing.
it needs a harder bassdrum imo. its a bit flat at the moment, it doesnt really make you bob your head. i think that with a bit more strenght to the bassdrum (perhaps add some hats or a clap or similar), it would definetly go somewhere. since the main lead is a bit flat it needs to be balanced out with something else. definetly a good start though.
i keep thinking that this clap should go up a bit in volume. but then again, im more into the oldschool gabber, so i might be a bit biased :)
hello boards of canada.
this is very interesting. very dark and emotional. i like it alot.
so great attention to detail. simply beatiful.
ooook. mad skillz right here people.
yet another very interesting and unexpected ending. youre pretty good at that ive noticed. i suck at endings hah.
hah. sweet with that little synthesizer(?) ending. very neat.
you know, those subtle changes in the "beat" if you wish are really effective.
@Grimmlord: missy elliot - hot boys ;)
holyshit. this is great shit man. even though i dont even particuraily like this kind of shit.
man. if you added the beat here thats in the beginning it would totally rock my socks off.
fuck yeah!
really. it should be longer. it was just going somewhere.
pretty awesome considering that its still one of the most versatile experimental electroni albums to this day. spot on man, spot on.
you know. the more i listen to this (not this one in particular, but in general) the more i remind myself that this has the same feel that analog worms attack has by mr.oizo.
YEAH!
wah. i did not see that coming. and that glitchy thing after that is just spot on mate.
fuck yeah!
sweet. cheers to minimalism and experimentalism bundled into one!
@gbsr: spot the sample :p
2 simplers (Ableton Live) running the same sample hooked up to my midi controller with me tweaking realtime. no edits.
@Son of Akira: hehe. everybody loves antiheroes. :D
yep. theres a pause here. sinde the whole album is live recorded and unedited after recording i figured id leave the pause. basicly i accidently turned off the wrong channels. who cares. the whole idea was to make an album completely live recorded and not edit anything afterwards, so if i mess up i mess up. take it or leave it.
@Son of Akira: ah yes. too short. thats the main critisism i get hehe. well, the track is kind of like a middle track between the former one and the next one on the album. i do that alot, meant to played without interruption etc.
@Son of Akira: hah. im so naming it that as genre. thanks.
