Yesterday (4th november) I was driving back home and this tune played on the radio. I love this track, but I ever thought that the parts could be in a different order. I tried this one, enjoy! - Speed of Wind Artwork

Nice! ... The overall sound reminds me a bit of Herbie Hancock stuff from the 70's Headhunters time (jazz-funk fusion) ...

Unfortunately, the guy who was the owner of the house (with the studio in the backyard) salled it and our sessions stopped by the way. This session was ... The bassline sounds a bit detached from the rest, not enough saturated in the overall sound of the track. The beat itself is great. I love those smooth DnB grooves ... nice vocal "scat" in the middle ... nice flute-ing :)

Some guys from Drum n' Bass asked me only for the final part of the track. So, I decided to along and make another track. Hope you enjoy!Q-Tip - Work It Out (Garoa Fina Samba Mix) Uploaded by garoafina Start following Send a message on August 24, 2009 20:58

Cool groove, very nice flute-work (lovely melody) ... Q-Tip (and the girls) sounds great over a Brazilian groove :) ... The only "suggestion" I have is to create a bit more "variation" in the drums ... some additional fills, cuts, etc.

Very nice groove ... soulful funky ... nice groove changes ... maybe the flutes could get an additional touch of reverb and stereo spread, so they start to float around more ... they sound a bit "dry" to me ... but nevertheless a very nice composition!!!

I'm really not a house music kind of dude, but this is pretty cool! :-) I like the samba vibes. I'm not crazy about the filtered/vocoded vocals, though. I think the track would be much more dope without them. More oldschool.

Very cool track ... The only "what if" I have is concerning the bass line ... It's a wicked bass line don't get me wrong :). But, if the bass would be a bit more "transparent" of sound (less "fluffy" / "woolly" of sound, so more pronounced) then that would boost the "drive" of the groove of this track ... Nevertheless I enjoyed listening to it :)
