Gamla Pengar hail from Gothenburg, Sweden and paint a bleach lyrical picture of a country that had all chances to become one of the greats but blew it with egocentric short-term politics. With a melodic and yet dirty approach to the Swedish old school punk sound from the 80’s, and they’ve started an underground crusade against all injustice in the world. The lyrics are straight to the point without any between the lines bullshit, because what doesn’t kill Gamla Pengar makes them more bitter and even more motivated to create conscious music to force people to actually think about their own part in our joint society. The band consists of members from well known punk acts such as We Live In Trenches, Alarma Man and Buck, which means they’ve been around the block a couple of times. Music is not just art, it’s a movement, and Gamla Pengar is not a blueprint for rage, it’s just a reaction to modern society.
