    I AM FRAGILE -

    TOUCH. DON'T BREAK.
    ___________________________________________________________________________

I noticed this week that I'd hit 50,000 plays.
In the grand scheme of things, it's a tiny number (and the way SC is going, I can't imagine ever reaching 100,000), but this little milestone did make me smile, and I really appreciate everyone who has turned up at one time or another to listen - thanks. A lot! :)

If you have been listening for a while, you may think that the vocal in this sounds familiar – you’re right, it is.

Around a year ago, I suffered a catastrophic and terminal hard drive failure, resulting in the loss of a whole bunch of material (which of course seemed suddenly terribly precious to me). Anyway, for some reason, the vocal for “Fragile” survived (how ironic), and I’d always had the idea of trying to reassemble the original track. Of course, trying to redo the original parts proved virtually impossible, but I’d always quite liked the vocal, so I just decided to write a whole new track to fit.

So, if there’s a lesson to be learned, it’s back up, and back up again. Then back up some more.

    You have been warned! ;)
