Future Classic are collaborating with Le Coq Sportif Australia to bring you a series of Australian covers of classic French artists, each cover will be a free download on Le Coq Sportif's Facebook page for a limited time and will also be pressed on 7" vinyl.
The first tune is by Perth band Scenic, covering classic French artist Air - famous for their debut EP, Premiers Symptômes, the critically acclaimed album Moon Safari, and their score for Sofia Coppola's film The Virgin Suicides. The second cover is by Mitzi from Brisbane and is of Zig Zag, the cult band from France's early cosmic disco scene, whose self titled 12" EP goes for between $100 - $500 second hand!
The Parisian 'Sport Chic' fashion house Le Coq Sportif has long had an association with music in it's home country and this partnership with Future Classic build's on that heritage.
