About

Music has been my passion since I can remember.I was listen to many different styles, but my first real love was Jazz, Funk and Soul. Nearly every style uses elements and samples of Jazz and Funk.Jazz is the teacher, Funk is the preacher… this famous sentence of a Jazz musician was the inspiration of the name for DJ and Project Funkpreacher.
Since the late 90's I started to collect my favorite music on vinyl, at the beginning only HipHop, Soul and Funk. Later I was more and more influenced from electronic sounds…I never stopped to expand my vinyl collection.
Since 2003 I have been organizing club-events or party’s as a regular, local DJ with some friend DJ’s and also well known electronic music acts. I was also working as a resident-DJ in bars and clubs in Potsdam and Berlin for many years. In bars I play mainly Nujazz, Lounge, Dub or Downbeat-Style, but also House-Music, in clubs more Minimal, Electro, Deep- and Techhouse-Sounds, but mostly with an influence of Jazz and Funk.
