But I'm not silly enough to write Deadmau5 an email, so I thought I might have a chance to say something meaningful, in case he still peruses these comments---even a year later. That being said, Mau5 (can people just call you that?), I want to make a general observation about your dub. I think (plz, everyone, don't scream at me) that you are somewhat restrained, when it comes to your wobble. I donno' if it's in the mixing (it prolly is), but as a fan, I would like you to shove the dub in my face more (so-to-speak)...bring it more "forward"....just make it louder, I guess. And I would never say that, without at least one other example: Raise Your Weapon. Don't get me wrong---everything about that song is gorgeous. It's tricky, ironic, smart, ambient, 4-to-the-floor, hard-hitting, etc. But I always wish I could turn up the wobble, as soon as it kicks in. Ya know? I mean, I do appreciate an e-artist who isn't trying to punch me in the face with obscene quantities of bass. Are you so minimalistic, that the dirtiness makes you shy? Well, don't be. You could literally spook the shit out of every wanna-be with a laptop, if your dubstep started to catch fire.

Just a friendly, well-meaning critiqué! (P.S. The club edit of "Strobe" is IRL my favorite song ever.......ev-er. Each time I hear it, I think I'm having a religious experience).

Its produced to an alright level, but wheres the soul? Dubstep really should have some sort of rhythm that you can nod your head to and jam to but this is just KICK SNARE KICK SNARE , your electro house roots are showing joel. Try and turn it into something that sounds like your music instead of just putting a wobble on the track and having a kick on the first beat and snare on the 3rd. Dubstep wasn't meant to be a formulaic genre
