An old track from 2008. Re-recorded. Among the first I did in Mordoroth, when Mordoroth was a solo project. Inspired by norse mythology and especially Amon Amarth.

WINTER OF THE WOLF (Music and lyrics Daniel Friberg)

The all father and his son of thunder
Fimbul winter is here to stay
    Managarm has devoured the moon
and winter grew into winter again

The mountains cracked and the earth was scorched
blood was dashed from Managarms jaws

With Nagelfar sailed all the giants
from land of fire came the Muspelheims
the ship of Hel was steered by Loki
and upon it stood the Fenris wolf

The mountains cracked and the earth was scorched
and all of Asgaard heard Heimdals Horn

In fire, in flames - the whole world burned
In fire, in flames - the whole world burned
Odin ride, with Thor on your side

Wolf, wolf, the winter of the wolf
In fire, in flames - the whole world burned
Fenris open jaws - became Odins fall

Then Vidar came, the silent god
face to face with the wolf so evil
the fiercest enemy of the gods
so as he's dead will there be no evil?

The mountains cracked and the earth was scorched
the heaven's fell into the sea of Hel

    The twilight of the gods
the last fight of the world

    The twilight of the gods
    the winter of the wolf
