Freshit is back in town with a splendid release by Brisbane born MC Gaff E.

She is widely famous for her ’keepin it real rap style’ and electrifying live shows in London’s East end; A combination of electronic music, extravagant costumes and performance art, her wild and colorful shows have graced the stages of Glastonbury, Lovebox and more... In the studio she has worked alongside respected producers Thomas Bullock (Rub n Tug), Kid Kenobi, Mickey Moonlight (Ed Banger) and this time around she joins young Brooklyn based beatmaker Drugmoney.

Cave Hoar is a song about primitive instincts. MC Gaff E’s raw vocal statement gets fused with squealing synths, driving bass and timpani in a ceremonial pattern sounding straight out of an Amazonian tribe.

On track 2 we welcome Portugal’s finest Tiago (DFA, Leng / LUX, Lisbon). His version of Cave Hoar boasts an eerie synth melody combined with killer guitar riffs and delightfully sparse production throughout; Tiago never fails to impress.

Freshit regular Luke Black (Organic Art Movement / Junk Yard, London) returns in top form with a dubbed out, bass heavy banger. Hammering kicks and spaced out vocal effects bounce along dark synth ensembles; This mix is made in the after-hours.

...It’s a Cave Romance
