Freight Train are Paul Leslie and Elliot Taylor: Two friends from London who met in 2008 when they both began studying the same music course at university. Naturally, a friendship was formed as they discovered they both had a huge passion for music. They started to collectively produce tracks in their spare time, showing that together they had experience and a natural talent for producing - Paul coming from a drums & guitar background and Elliot specialising in classical orchestral instruments.

They began DJ'ing as a duo going back to back on 4 decks, remixing tracks with effects and loops enabling the pair to deliver all round fast-paced sets which have attracted the attention of promoters from up and down the country. With so many musical influences, the Freight Train sound can only be described as a journey of live and electronic instruments, fused together with hard, invigorating basslines and hypnotic & melodic synths.

Freight Train's debut release entitled 'Progression EP' has been well received. It has gained attention and plays from DJ's on some of the country's biggest radio stations including Kiss 100, Rinse FM, Ministry Of Sound Radio and Grant Nelson's House Call. It also landed the duo a number 8 in the Amazon 'Dance & Electronic Hot New Releases Chart'. They now proudly have 4 releases under their belt with a fifth EP in the pipeline, with other various remix projects still under construction.

Since October 2012, the pair have hosted Reprezent 107.3's flagship house and dance show entitled 'The Derailed Show'. Previous Guests have included Sasha, Laura Jones, Lee Brinx, Nic Fanciulli, Banton, Makai, Funk Butcher and Caserta.

Catch Freight Train Presenting The 'DERAILED' Show Every Tuesday On Reprezent Radio, 19:00 - 21:00 GMT.
