The easiest way to travel from the bus/train station to Fort Kochi is to take a public ferry.
The ferries transport thousands of people a day. The engine on some boats is open in the middle of the boat. A person is controlling the throttle. The steering captain on front communicates via a bell with the engine controller, who then changes the throttle.
