About

French producer based in Marseille.
Experienced and eclectic DJ, endowed with a subtle and efficient technique, Fred Berthet creates sets combining brilliantly house, techno, but also down tempo or winks at his seventies and eighties roots.
During live shows and dj sets, he toured in the best stages and clubs in Europe, as well as in Asia, North America and Africa.
After composing singles with Antoine Boullé under the pseudonym Venus Attack Project (on the label US Guidance), he created the band known as the Troublemakers with A. Taillefer and Dj Oil.
After an over-welcomed first LP (" Doubts & Convictions " on Guidance rec), and a second one on Blue Note (“Express Way”),
Fred focused his attention on Copyshop a more “electro” project (Gomma, Toy Tonics, La Dame Noir, Numoment...).
He signs edits under the name Dj Steef of vintage songs (Editorial, Superbreak, Magic Wand, Gazeebo International...)
This is the perfect occasion to synthesize his musical roots such as 80’s electro pop, poisonous disco, classy french influences, insistent downtempo and up warding house...
