Freak Sauce is an honorable reference to a saying by the mighty and influential band Man Is The Bastard: "heavy on the freak sauce jack." I DJ under the name Freak Sauce mostly at bars in San Diego. I began to DJ when asked by Heather Brosche, AKA Monsterpussy. So in a way, Monsterpussy gave birth to Freaksauce! I mostly play experimental and mathy, post everything weird music, layering and effects. although the music i play probably wouldn't fly at a dance club so well, i do believe that there exists a freakier kind of dance environment that can occur, and i like to help that concept gain momentum at bars.
