Creative teaching methods are more interesting and easier to learn from – That’s what Berus Temizbas‘ primary school teacher must have thought when she didn’t simply let the kids play the flute to learn about music, but actually let real musicians play their instruments in front of the class. Inspired by the this, Berus and his former school friend rummaged through their older brothers’ grunge records. Shortly after that, they had formed their own band. Berus played the drums in several teenage bands in Hamburg throughout his teenage years, which helped form his remarkable and distinctive style.

In 2007, the New-Rave-movement reached its climax and allowed Berus to show his skills as a resident DJ in a music café. He quickly noticed that he was more than capable of being „the guy that makes the music“. Within less than a year, Berus evolved to a demanded and celebrated producer. „Frag Maddin“. His debut „Released De Beast“ (Druckplatten Records/Berlin) thrilled deck shredders far out of the country’s borders and allowed him to record several collaborations with and for acts like Puppetmastaz, David Dorad or Schluck den Druck. All these features helped him not only to secure his reputation as a first class producer, but, they helped engraved it in stone.

Frag Maddin’s specialty are outrageously catchy mixes with pumping beats and a dash of funk. The results: dance floor-fillers for the peak time no one can forget. His talent allowed him to play club- and festival shows all around the globe. Shanghai, Amsterdam, Istanbul, Beijing, Basel, Berlin – he has seen it all. And that was all just the beginning.

For 2012, Frag Maddin has new EP’s, Remixes and collaborations planned. And if our world really decides to cease to exist on the 21st of December, at least Frag Maddin partied the heck out of it already.
