Sander Visser (DJ Saaf) started DJ-ing around 1987, opening for bands at the local alternative club circuit.
Heavily influenced by the likes of Derrick May he was one of the first DJ's to bring Acid House and Detroit Techno to the dancefloors outside of Amsterdam.
As he's interested in a wide variety of styles and always on the hunt for good futuristic sounds and beats, he plays different sets at different places depending on the crowd and venue.
He's always had a passion for deep atmospheric progressive sounds, layered and uplifting stuff with Tribal influences and UK Progressive House like Leftfield, Spooky, Bedrock and Global Underground.
Known for his tight and impeccable mixing skills, fluid transitions and powerful, creative track selection to keep the tension going on the dancefloor and deliver a proper storyline in his DJ-sets.

He got into Goa Trance around 93/94 and became highly active in the Psychedelic scene in and around Amsterdam, often playing at underground parties with DJ Indian (Cosmoon/Twisted Travellers), clubs like the Trance Buddha (where he played with acts like Morphem, James Monroe, X-Dream and Eat Static), festivals like Dance Valley and also became a resident DJ for the Namaste parties in Amsterdam.

In these days Saaf teamed up with Wouter Thomassen (Zen Mechanics) and they started throwing parties and play DJ sets together.
Their shared passion for epic Progressive grooves resulted in their collaborative project CITIZEN. Their first track was ‘Pagan Pulse’ (released under the guise SPANNER) was released on the Globalize comp on Flow records, for which they also compiled the “Uncharted” CD.
Also they were asked to remix the renowned Goth/Dark Wave band Dark Territory.
Due to time restrictions the CITIZEN project has been on hold for a while now, but new sessions are to be expected in the near future.

Saaf also has a strong passion for Chill-Out/Downtempo/Dubby Electronica and frequently plays Downtempo sets at parties, festivals and as one of the home DJ's in Amsterdam based smartshop Kokopelli.
Introduced to music production through the CITIZEN sessions, he started working solo around 2010, producing Psych/Progressive Trance and Breaks as SAVI and recently teamed up with Martijn Zwart, creating full dynamic epic (Psy)Chill/Downtempo Electronica as HIGH-END.
