From the Soulhack album
absolutely love the cut up sound, dope track!
Find a new soundtrack for walking in the streets.
This is why i love double bass so much. It's just sounds perfect and always brings something more to the song. Perfect example here. Gives the song an even more jazzy touch.
The city suddenly looks alive and bright.
oh yeah dude, i had the same gillesy p experience.......
Hi Eric, i love this track. The whole album was crazy back then... i was really disappointed when you stopped releasing and just quit the scene after the release. Do you regret it? ;) But seriously: Why did you quit?
KILLER KILLER. I played this to death when it just hit the streets...
just wanted to mention: great album! listened to it a lot....
You are the man! I showed this tune to so many people and EVERYONE just could not get enough of it. It's awesome, fantastic, whatever... brilliant! Keep on doing such nice music, dude – though I like your soundcloud project, too ;) PLEASE!
Sick dude. Ever thought about selling your beats to hip hop artists?
one of my favorite cutup hiphop tracks of all time...
yo, i've still never heard a jazz cut up as good as this... big up man... JM
this tune is fantastic, its been one of my favs for years!
This track is absolutely amazing. It engulfs all of jazz, funk, lounge, and electronic music... truly inspiring music.
my first music project was called 'soulhacker' with a portrait of Jimi on the front. Sadly, it had 1/35th the amount of soul this track has, and indeed, was nothing more than a hack in Reason. This track is dripping with slippery soul sap! Ear candy fer dayz.
nice that you found it! well i made the first version on a train actually, but then the track went through 2-3 iterations over a period of probably a year or so. i actually thought in the beginning that the track wasn't strong enough.. but then something happened and it became quite interesting.
Finally! I've been trying to track this down for about 7 years! Had it on minidisc from a Gilles Peterson show but could never work out who it was. Bravo - one of my favourite tracks ever. Totally inspiring. Dare I ask how long it took you to make?
Is there a problem with this track? Is it a copyright infringement, is it spam or are there problems with the sound quality? Please let us know!
