Staind's upcoming self-titled seventh album (out 9/13), stands as one of the band's most intense and powerful works to date. The release was produced by Johnny K, who collaborated with the band on 2008's Grammy Award-nominated The Illusion Of Progress, and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge. The sessions started in Aaron Lewis' barn in Western Massachusetts but by the time they wrapped; drummer Jon Wysocki had been fired and the relationship between the remaining band members was pushed to its limits.
In this radio special, Staind's Aaron Lewis, Mike Mushock and Johnny April sit down with longtime friend of the band, WCCC/Hartford's Mike Karolyi, and provide the whole story as they discuss the dysfunction, tension and challenges that went into making this release and what's ahead now that the band has come out the otherside. New songs from the album are featured along with the introspective and revealing conversation between Karolyi and the band. This is one program that Staind fans will not want to miss.
