lovely 808 stuff there (I presume) - also its impressive to see you really did mean electro - not just 'commercial house with detuned stabby bits' as 'the kids' seem to think it means these days :p

@raytrace: nice one! yeah it's a shame innit. if it were me in charge I'd have them play anthony rother in school assembly ;-)

Alternate mix of 'TheVillage...', bit more chilled and perhaps straightforward than the last one, very much aiming for a traditional electro vibe.Infusion - Dogtown (D-Nox & Beckers Rmx) Uploaded by d-nox Start following Send a message on December 02, 2008 00:10

Hm, very nice kickdrum... did anything special to it? Gate? Roomverb?
@zuur: thanks! Yeah I used a gated reverb. I find that rather than using the 'gated' setting on the reverb it works better to use the traditional approach of sidechaining a seperate gate over the reverb. It would have been an impulse response loaded into logic's space designer, something very heavy and dense, followed by a sonalksis gate.
@Semtek: Yay! Thanks for the detailed description! I'm currently in between studio pc's (my old one was becoming too slow) but once I'm back up 'n running I'll give it a try.
love those useful explainations:)
