it all started in 1999 when someone told me to listen to a radio station called Supreme FM, I went home and listened to it for the first time and I was instantly sucked in, although in them days I was mainly listening to Mc's after listening to garage on the radio for a while (majority being so solid) I went to my first rave (where EZ was playing) I tried to get as close to the dj box as I could to feel the true vibes, It was at this moment I fell in love with the art of mixing, I found myself standing in the same spot for 2 hours glued to the abilities of the great EZ!! It was not long after I persuaded my friend to buy a pair of decks (I could not afford them). I myself just started to buy the vinyl with my first record being "Bass lick" We stayed up all night 24/7 practising on the Numark wheels of plastic lol (We were so shit!!, we did not even have a clue what we was doing, just playing 2 records and messing with the cross fader lol) and one day it just came to me!! The whole concept of mixing just fell into place and I found myself understanding what needed to be done I call it "the sixth sense" being able to hear when a record needs fastening or slowing before it does!! From this stage on I was addicted I was mixing every second of the day or when my friends would let me, haha. 2 yrs later with a lot of money spent on Garage records later.. someone asked me to go to a D&B rave @ colliseum which i was not to sure about but i ended up goin! and the rest is history. I immediately started buying D&B vinyl and have not stopped since, I was hitting a rave every weekend listening to the various different dj's the first person that caught my eye was Mampi swift purely cause of the energy he provided and his unique style of mixing but then along came a guy by the name of ANDY C, his style and approach to dj-in is amazing I could honestly stand there for hours watching this guy and I literally have on some occasions.. Basically iv never looked back since D&B is in my heart and I fucking love mixing it (especially double dropping) although i still have a soft spot for garage but only the old stuff the new stuff is wank!! And I also like to mix a little Funky/Electro house. That’s it from me feel free to sample my various different mixes ENJOY.. Peace!....
