Born and raise in CHICAGO where House music originated was truly blessing I didn’t realize until I attended school in Hollywood and all house heads would acknowledge the likes of Bad Boy Bill & Frankie Knuckles. My first parties I’d attended were house parties where no liquor was being served due to crowd being 21 and under. The love of the music alone was enough to keep people dancing and sweating all night long. As Hip-Hop entered in the late 80’s and early 90’s and Medussa one of main club in Chicago which allowed 21 and under kids to party closed AND then my focus turned to Hip-Hop but eventually I would return to my true roots for HOUSE MUSIC. From when I first started listening to HOUSE to now(2012) the music has grown globally. The platform that house djs are placed now went from warehouse corner space to stadium concert with lights effect worth over $10,000, sponsorship with Blackberry, Apple, Post-Production from movie company and more. There’s too many dope djs to name but what brought me back home to my roots to house was how the house dj command the crowd and crowd respond back to dj as well. The equipment as well have grown from just the turntable to cdj, serato, traktor, ableton, control pads and more. People really don’t care what you use, just rock the party.
