As a child and young teen, music simply fulfilled the life of Gina J Firicano, keeping her mind at ease and calming her nerves. Gina J knew from a young stand point that music was more than just a tune, but music was something inside her. Starting off with playing the piano at the early age of seven, Gina J was creating her own music with the piano just a few years later. Her eight year dancing career allowed her to feel the music through movement, as her involvement in the church choir allowed her to express herself through the singing of religion. Her infatuation of house and techno started at the earlier age of five, when her brother introduced her to well known DJ Louie Devito, then following the great Tiesto. Gina J had always considered being a DJ, but not having the opportunities like other kids, that idea would have to wait. Gina, joined a female DJ/dance crew last year which finally put her on the decks as she always desired. Gina J left the group and purchased her own equipment, now finally giving her the opportunity she always wanted... to be her own DJ.

DJ Firicano has only been playing on the ones and twos for a little over a year now, she mastered the Numarks and decided to expand her knowledge by using different type of equipment, turntables and CDJs. Only using the CDJs for a short time now, she fell in love with the quality and the challenge of no longer using a computer and its software. DJ Gina Firicano has many more techniques and practicing to do. She will not quit till she's able to reach for the stars.
