The Groovers are DJs and Producers Steve Ferrand and Finn Campbell-Notman
Steve and Finn came together as producers in Barcelona and while their sound has been forged in the heat of its unique underground scene over the last 7 years, each has been DJing and producing since the early ninetees.
The Groovers sound is, well, take a long crazy summer weekend in Barcelona: an intense deep house session in a warehouse, an after-party where every single person in the room is singing along to Native New Yorker and winding up at the beach digging some vintage Brazilian soul: Their music is a reflection and distillation of these deep underground roots, high times and the many shared adventures along the way.
The Groovers productions and releases thus far on House OF Disco, Pack Up And Dance, Editorial and Audio Parallax have gained major support and attention worldwide and have featured in countless mixes and radio shows.
Finn is a co-founder of seminal San Francisco deep house label Imperial Dub Recordings. He began producing and releasing on IDR at that time under the name Finness.
He has been DJ-ing since 1991 and has held residences in various countries beginning in Bristol, San Francisco, London, Barcelona and Stockholm and was the tour DJ with Imperial Dub and with Dubtribe Sound System touring North America, Mexico and Europe.
Steve has been been DJ-ing for over fifteen years and a producer and recording artist for most of that time.
The last six years have seen him recording both solo and alongside many great producers such as Funk 'D'Void, Vincenzo, Aqua Bassino, Vince Watson and David Alvarado.
In that time he has released several extremely well received EPs on Dessous, Urban Torque, Tronic Sole and on his own label founded in 2010 with DJ/Producer Tres Manos; Your Only Friend Recordings and has also provided some stellar remixes along the way, the latest being for The Gathering's 'In My System' on Silver Network.
