When you consider a spot in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Poll, US and UK mainstream chart-success and releases with Paul Van Dyk– you begin to gain a sense of the scale that New York production duo Filo & Peri are at. And take our word for it – this is only the beginning…
It was back in 2003 when Domenick Filopei and Bo Pericic met and from that point onwards transformed themselves into the international duo that we now know as Filo & Peri.
Since hooking up in 2003, Filo & Peri have been setting the world of trance on fire. Their early work spoke volumes about the quality and potential of the pair. Tracks like “Closer Now” and “Ordinary Moment” were snapped up straight away to the VANDIT imprint.
2005 saw them roar into the world-renowned DJ Mag Top 100 at a mind-blowing debut of number 77, smashing all expectations. They then capitalized on their position by releasing one of the biggest trance anthems in recent years, their monster smash hit ‘Anthem’. Paul van Dyk’s signature track for the latter half of 2007 and through into 2008, it was a sure-fire winner and clocked up major success across all continents. Sky-rocketing to the top of the US Billboard charts and entering the UK Top 40, it cemented their status as serious contenders in EDM.
And it’s not just in the studio where Filo & Peri have been showing their superiority. In DJ booths the world over, their blend of driving techno, and euphoric trance, is winning them an international army of fans. Whether it’s banging trance beats or soaring vocals, not a body stands still when they take control of the dance floor. From their home in the US to the UK, Europe, Asia and beyond, the world is capitulating to their sonic wizardry.
2008 has seen Dom and Bo take on more countries than ever with yet more stunning productions under their belt such as “Shine On” and “Buzzed Up” leaving the door wide open for the future.
