By the early age of 12 Fillamyko began to envision his life as a music artist. Growing up in New York City heavily influenced by the limitless hustle of New York’s music scene. He looked up to his uncle who was an up and coming DJ and helped him craft the essence of mixing. “ Living in the projects at a early age watching my uncle mix and produce music for hours, open my eyes to the artistic side of music”. Watching that made him see the love and feeling one can have for music.

As he grew older his passion and innovation for music began to thrive in every direction. “ As a kid I listened to everything from rock, hip-hop, salsa, freestyle, and house. I tried to listen to as many different genres as I could to get inspiration for my own sound” It was not until the year 2010 where he decided that producing was going to be his way into the industry. “I remember having a lot of DJ friends that were playing at the local clubs, but none of them produced. I asked myself how can I be different than everyone else, I that moment I decided needed to make my own music”

Working with local producers and individually, he produced tracks that have been supported by many peers in the industry such as Roger Sanchez, Chus & Ceballos, Dirty Secretz, Chocolate Puma, and a few others. In late 2012 his remix for “D Bow- Get Involved” was recognized on Roger Sanchez’s Release Yourself Global Radio Show as the #1 Hot Download.

2013 looks like it’s going to be his breakout year, as he is back in the studio working on some big tracks with locals Donnie Lowe, DJ QBA, and many other surprises. “
