love the fragility of the flute sound with the metallics
love those eerie chords
this really does have the atmosphere of pure hedonism in some precise, entrancing way
love that slightly dissonant, spacey drone in the background
total James Bond theme this =D
P.S. long into the piece, there's a melodic fragment that reminds me slightly of the theme in Debussy's 'Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun'. If you notice this, note that it was created by adjusting one of the oscillator pitches on the Evolver itself and was not played on a keyboard.
@MarcJX8P: I've only really worked so far with the optigan presets but I'll certainly give yours for a spin now!!! Thanks for the comments :-)
classic stuff!!
the guitar has a... Mike Oldfield tone here. Which is a nice thing, btw. :-)
something nasty going on in the power station... - great!!
oh wow... gorgeous!
sound tweaking into the groovy zone here :-)
hi-precision squelchy ;-)
I love the reverby, space epic-ness of this version - sounds more raw and passionate than the original
a really interesting groove!
or if that link doesn't play ball, simply search 'Zurich Airport metro'
Hey, I've got a video of that !!! But it was on a older camera phone so the soundtrack was missing... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_w614wXKSU
Wow that's weirdly wonderful!!
it's all going 'robot regency' - love it!
Sonically it's great as it is... a richly articulated, quite luscious sound but a chamber sound... which is so much more sophisticated than 'synth-orchestral-pad-pomp'... You being in Hollywood, I can't resist one of that location's corny tag-lines: "like Laurie Anderson was in the empty swimming pool while they were recording Heroes and Villains" ;-p
