About
Ever since he can remember, he has always been a great music lover. The earliest memories of music he have is running around listening to "Jamiroquai's" song "Cosmic Girl", pretending he drove one of the cars in the music video... Around age of 3!
As his music interest grew, his interest for playing instruments started to surface. Before he knew it he picked up pan-flute as his first instrument, at age of 6. But it didn't last long due to moving to another city. But as one hobby dies, another one is born. And for Fexell this new hobby was playing the piano. But as an impatient 8 year old, he didn't want to learn all the boring stuff first. He wanted to go straight to the harder piano pieces, and the first song ever learnd on piano was Mozart's "Für Elise". With one private tutor and one a piano teacher, he learned the piano fast.
As his interest and love for listenening and playing music grew, so did the dream of becoming a musician. So he entered a music school where he learned all that has to do with music, in both theory and practical. There he also picked up singing (choir and private lessons), drums and bass. And recently he picked up guitar, practicing on his own.
But his interest took a big turn when he for the first time heard hardstyle music around 2005/2006. This made him interested in knowing how to make that kind of music. So around 2007/2008 he downloaded FL Studio and was amazed that he could use his knowledge in piano to make EDM melodies, thanks to FL Studio's piano roll. Although it took him a while to figure everything out. (He likes to discover how to use stuff on his own, without tutorials or help).
But as EDM got bigger and bigger in the world, his ears were caught by "progressive house". He then thought to himself; "This!", "This is what I want to produce!". Here was a genre where the melody is very important. So 2012 he started to produce "progressive house" under the name "Fexell".
He now knows that music is going to follow him to his grave and hope to inspire people with his music!
