Ferdy Ouderkerken is a 27-year-old dj/producer hailing from the north of the Netherlands. He lives in Sneek, which is an 80-minute drive from Amsterdam.
The first time Ferdy was introduced to the electronic dance music was at the Loveparade, where he saw label boss Sasha playing. This experience, together with his fascination for bands like The Doors and Dire Straits in his younger years and the inspiration he gets from Thom Yorke, formed him like the musician he is nowadays. Ferdy started producing when he was 16 years old and got signed when he was 20. He got signed for 3 singles to the renowned label Global Underground. Also, the same year he signed a 4 single deal on the label of Armin van Buuren under an alias together with Mathijs van Dijk. Later on Ferdy started producing and playing together with Edwin Mulder. Together they made a couple of productions that were signed by Hope Recordings, Outside the Box Recordings and Global Underground.
In the following years, Ferdy searched for his own, authentic sound. He still produced various singles for multiple record labels.
Ferdy is looking for new things in his music, putting a lot of time in his productions and always aiming towards the progressive side of electronic dance music. Therefore he’s always looking for interesting collaborations among other artists.
Ferdy his musical style is not to be placed in corners, but when he has to place it somewhere, he describes it as a mix from Ambient to Techno, but always with a musical feeling to it.
Ferdy has played at the label nights of Global Underground in the Netherlands and played at Panama & Hotel Arena in Amsterdam, Simplon in Groningen & at the renowned parties in Bloemendaal. He also hosted his own radio show on DI.fm and Proton Radio.
