Poetic daily round in a melodic universe

The electro pop duo Fedora Heap releases new album with danceable ‘ear hangers’ and musical innovation

A misunderstood hero with a soul of denial. A life that disappears like leaves on an autumn day. A walking trip through a consciousness of wander. A love that resurrects from the trivialities of life.

The melodic universe presented by the electro pop duo Fedora Heap on their new album ‘Pieces Of Prediction’, is built on poetic portrayals of small and large dramas in everyday lives – from insignificant fashion craze and relationships on standby to the larger themes of life, like irreplaceable loss and predominant love.
And Fedora Heap interprets the world around us with a passion and presence – to a great extent created by lead singer Anders Gronborg’s hypnotically smooth vocal – so that the melodies enters directly into either our hearts or our legs.

The new album spreads musically wide: from distinct radio hits like ‘The Omen’ and the already released ‘Roses Fade Away’ to the more alternative and experimenting songs like ‘Suzie’ and ‘So Easily’. Even the most accessible songs contain innovative elements. Fedora Heap spends a lot of time exploring different ways of mixing acoustic and synthetic instruments and sounds – for example by mixing drum machines with real drums in the same song.

As early as last year in November a sample from the new album was released. The first single ‘Roses Fade Away’ received a warm welcome on both Danish and German radio stations and was for several weeks to be found on the Internet chart, Chartbase Top-100, accompanying artists like Coldplay and Aura Dione. At the same time Fedora Heap was selected as ‘Band of the Week’ on

Expectations to the new album is therefore understandable – also because the band’s debut album ‘Into The Sun’ in 2010 received four stars by critics from both Nordjyske Medier (DK) and Midtjyllands Avis (DK).

’Pieces of Prediction’ will be released 28. September 2012. Fedora Heap, which besides Anders Gronborg consists of Sune Andersen, will after the release be planning for an album follow-up tour during this autumn and spring 2013.
