About

Favorite Shape Triangle is the music project of Aaron Ruffcorn. FST was founded in 1999, in Iowa City, IA.
FST recorded many demo albums (2000, 2001, 2003) before releasing the debut self-titled album "Favorite Shape Triangle" in 2007. FST's 2nd LP "Against Time" was released in December of 2009.
All FST songs are written, arranged, performed, recorded and produced by Aaron Ruffcorn.
Guest artists have made occasional appearances: Darren Robinson, of PHANTOM PLANET, played all guitars on FST's 2007 debut, and Caroline Lyders, of WJLA-ABC 7, provided backup vocals on "Change" and spoken word on "Smackers," two songs also featured on FST's debut.
A third album is in the works, entitled "Prism." It will be released on January 31st, 2012.
