yeah good call on the 'romantic tales' !! and you're definitely right about it being 'gilded' rather than 'guilty.' nice work.

Insight from my buddy. Romantic tales of distant years. Also, studio vs live, flow or glow

Eric, I think you're close. Your lyrics helped me work it out (I think). If you listen to the live version it helps.

      First verse:

      our children will always hear
or mention tales of distant years
our gilded age may come and go (gilded: flashy disguise with little substance underneath)
our crooked dreams will always flow

Ha. Just noticed you changed your lyrics. I think we're coming together. Not sure if its guilty, guilted, or gilded

really love this new track so i decided to take a stab at the lyrics... and other than a couple spots in the opening verse i think pretty much got it. let me know what ya think.

      our children will always hear
or mention tales of distant years
our guilty age may come and go
our crooked dreams will always glow

stick with me, oh you're my best friend
all of my life, you always been

      remember remember
      all we fight for
      remember remember
      all we fight for

don't leave me, oh you're my best friend
all of my life, you always been
don't leave me now, you're my best friend
all of my life, you always been

      remember remember
      all we fight for
