Korrupt 's review of Perverse 's 'Spoken in the Voice of an Older Man' remix:
"Some awesome deep ambient soundscapes come in right away, with samples adding so much depth to the intro of the track. You hear these people talk through each other, a man using his whistle and suddenly a really poppy kick appears in the mix. There’s some nice panning on certain samples involved, making the track quite mental as well.
"The drum patterns sound on point, there’s a nice garage vibe coming off this one – great minimal approach. A song that reminds me of Burial so much, a lot of his approaches come back in this production: vinyl crackles, strange samples used, extreme reverb on certain elements in the background, resonating basslines containing a lot of power in the mids as well, instead of the sub layer.
"The women’s voice sounds gorgeous and is mixed down perfectly with the rest of the elements – she’s really leaving a message to the listener, listen really well and interpret it to your own feeling. The break sounds enthralling, you hear the low-end fade-in slowly with this pad repeating on and on – well chosen.
"It’s amazing how you hear these very deep pads combined with choirs come into the mix when you head into the last segments of the track, adding so much atmosphere and deepness to the whole piece. They are nicely layered yet again, combined and giving out so much energy to the listener. Great how you hear everything fade away and you hear the samples from the intro head back in, followed by these next-level choirs!"

"A mixture of the old with the new. We decided to release the Progression EP in 4 different volumes, this being the second. Each Vol. will feature 4-5 tracks of mixed genres and styles. Some of the older tunes don't have the production value of the newer ones, but we thought we would give them away anyway.
"'Barren' is an ultra minimal creepy tune that never got to see the light of day so we though we would give it away. 'Cluster' is an older track of ours that's had the support of artists like Biome. 'Space Kush' is a tune we struggled to finish, 2nd drop is a bit of a copy & paste job but it still goes pretty hard. The Shura remix is something different for us, a minimalistic/downtempo garagey tune that we enjoyed making, we don't play it so we thought we would share it with you to listen to. 'Homebrew' are an NZ hip-hop group that we are fans of, so we had a crack at a remix for a bit of fun and have had a few people request it for D/L.
"Glad you were all feeling Vol.1! Cheers - Alex & Brett"
