Korrupt 's review of Sativa. 's 'Punisher':
"Great tribal percussion at the beginning of the track, I'm really feeling the deep pads in the background! That synth sounds awesome, I like how it was chosen for a simple bunch of patterns right there. There are some clean hats coming in right when the vocal sample starts, which, by the way, delivers a sick message, a sick move on Sativa's part!
"The drop is rough, the low-end is straight weight in my opinion, nicely moving underneath the mix – head-nodding is a must! The percussion is on point, it's great how the tribal percs return in the mix and definitely fit the track well. I personally would have chosen for a more snappy snare which actually ‘punishes’ you. The kick pounds away, leaving space for the other elements, it's nicely balanced out. The growls are sick, nicely developed throughout the mix, all sounding very fresh – I love ‘em!
"The break is on point, especially the underlaying low-end in combination with the pads and the voice sample being cut and used with a nice delay. The second drop is wicked, the panned delay on the growls are straight fire and well implemented.
"There's a great ending of the track with a nice fade-out of the voice sample. The track sounds nice and minimal, this is one of those that can be mixed nicely with most of the tracks that appear on a tracklist!"
This one's brutal. Deep and dark business from Manchester's Sativa.!
