Korrupt 's review of D-Operation Drop 's 'Kabalah VIP':
"It's an interesting way of starting a VIP, with that heavy bassline right at the start of the intro. The use of panning in this tune is remarkable, giving the track some extra deepness and an organic feel. The growls are teasing the listener, because they have no idea of what's coming at them. The low-end patterns right before the drop sound dangerous already!
"The sample used right before the drop fits to the idea of the VIP, based on the original but reworked– well played! The drop is simply too much, it's sick how those growls change every bar but continue to develop towards insanity! The resonance added to the basslines and growls sounds great – and the mid-range frequencies are developed really well. The VIP is definitely tickling the ears as it's supposed to do! The low-end sounds deep, warm – coming forward in the frequency range underneath the mix properly.
"The percussive elements sound fresh and minimal, the kick and the snare are yet again a very dangerous combination – well chosen on D-Operation Drop's part! Great reverb's been used on the snare, and there are's good use of layers to form such a snappy snare. The drum patterns are proper, nice switch-ups and build down nicely towards the break of the track as well. The break sounds very creepy yet again, with some interesting techniques to eat your mind. The second drop is too much, the growls are taken to the next level, just slicing you in pieces!
"Excellent VIP by D-Operation Drop, this one is even heavier than the original mix!"
This one's a pretty decent way to celebrate reaching Wednesday.
