Korrupt 's review of Compa. 's 'Bacteria':
"Compa uses great reverb on specific elements in the intro – giving the background sounds constant movement. They sound very dark and promising. I'm feeling the mystical touch which Compa adds to the intro through the use of those strange growls sounding like guitar riffs; not forgetting that amazing voice sample – sounding as if bacteria are really spreading everywhere – all of which add up to the first drop.
"The first drop is immense, feel the warmth and depth of the low-end coming in immediately... It's followed by a nice pounding kick which fits perfectly with the rest of the elements involved, simply because it doesn’t come forward too much. There's some seriously minimal percussion on top of the mix, sounding crisp and clear – which is also nicely panned from time to time – the way it’s supposed to be. Listen to the delayed voice in the background, it’s constantly present and coming back often, very creepy! The track has a really interesting flow through the range of drum patterns and the basslines involved.
"The break sounds great, preparing the listener for what might be lying ahead, whilst sounding similar to the introduction of the track.
"The second drop is deep, I'm loving the variations in the growls used, giving this track an extra twist. The bacteria are still spreading if you listen closely, what a murky vibe coming off this one!
"There's great progression in the track, definitely top notch. I'm yet again really impressed with Compa’s work, this track has 110% got that Compa signature sound all over it. If you don’t know him yet, make sure you do... Check his material or head over to one of his performances, he’s twisted!"
