96 Plays1 Favoriting1 Download Jazz Fusion mp3This is a pre-mastered remix of one of my older tunes with "live" horns and sax courtesy of Danny Flam and team at NewYorkBrass.com A tad bit more colorful now (I hope you agree).Time Out (w New Live Brass) Uploaded by fastonkeys Start following Send a message on March 17, 2009 06:00
37 Plays Jazz Fusion mp3This is a remix of Time Out after having "live brass" recorded courtesy of Danny Flam at NewYorkBrass.com. Must admit, wasn't sure that it would make as big of a difference as it (on this particular tune), but thanks to their always spot-on orchestration and musicianship, I beyond pleased with ...Time Out Live Brass Stem Uploaded by fastonkeys Start following Send a message on March 10, 2009 21:49

This is a revised mix of Tranquilo with (live) acoustic guitars and a change in plan for the brass. The sax has been replaced with a slight muted trumpet. Bear in mind that all of the brass in this mix will be replaced live-recorded horns across the board, so these are merely placeholders. But...Tranquilo Stem Guitars Uploaded by fastonkeys Start following Send a message on October 30, 2008 09:18

Revised mix with live guitars added; slightly better mix but still unprocessed for the most part. Next step is to add live recorded brass - mostly like a spanish style horns section and ditch the sax...Tranquilo Update - Drums, Bass, Piano Solo Uploaded by fastonkeys Start following Send a message on October 23, 2008 06:46

This is an update to Tranquilo with live recorded drums and bass guitar; also a re-recorded piano solo... still might need some minor clean-up but at this point I can midi it down from here :)Tranquilo Drums Preview Uploaded by fastonkeys Start following Send a message on October 16, 2008 02:07
29 Plays mp3This is preview of Tranquilo with "live drums" recorded... Next will come "live bass", guitars (rhythm and lead) and finally live brass - sax and horns. After that, I'll overdub the piano and redo the solo section to better fit with the supporting instruments.Tranquilo Stem Uploaded by fastonkeys Start following Send a message on October 05, 2008 22:33

That slight distortion you hear in the background is another VSTi (distorted blues guitar); will leave it to StudioPros to figure out best orchestration for guitar - this stem contains basic "spanish guitar" being played via MIDI... Temp Temp Temp!

Excuse the temporary piano solo - this was a first take and has lots of errors, but good enough for now... Tempted to open it up a bit so that we can fix some sax or piano here too. Thoughts?

Not sure if we'll stick with this style of ending, but will still likely end on the Bb parallel major.

This is a stem mix of my newest tune, Tranquilo. The track is unprocessed so it's definitely a marginal mix, meant just to publish the tune structure so that I can get drums, bass, guitars, brass live recorded. Also, the piano solo is just a stub, lots of little errors - I'll re-record it once...
New spanish style horn to lead the melody instead of sax - should help preserve the intended Latin vibe...
