I am a professional hobbyist when it comes to this. Though my relationship with the piano began at a young age, I only recently pulled off the gloves to rekindle it and haven’t looked back since. I’ve never subscribed much to job titles so I won’t attempt to label my genre. Besides, composing music mirrors life in that there are really only two ways to write a song: your way, and the wrong way.
Thank you for your interest and encouragement.
New acoustic guitar solo added to finale section... backing by brass to follow shortly...
New spanish style horn to lead the melody instead of sax - should help preserve the intended Latin vibe...
New acoustic/flamingo guitar style solo added
This is the start of the "Finale" section all the way thru the ending Bb
Live recorded guitars (Spanish/nylon) as well as electric lead during the finale... Also considering letting the sax player solo there.... I think there's enough room to spread it around on this track.
Newly recorded piano solo added... this might still require some clean-up but getting there...
Excuse the temporary piano solo - this was a first take and has lots of errors, but good enough for now... Tempted to open it up a bit so that we can fix some sax or piano here too. Thoughts?
That slight distortion you hear in the background is another VSTi (distorted blues guitar); will leave it to StudioPros to figure out best orchestration for guitar - this stem contains basic "spanish guitar" being played via MIDI... Temp Temp Temp!
Not sure if we'll stick with this style of ending, but will still likely end on the Bb parallel major.
Guitar solo/and dueling piano intended to be placed into this section...
@Forss: Thanks for taking it for a spin! Oddly enough, I'm re-recording these two tracks with "live brass" (sax, trumpet, horns). I finally found a professional online studio with this specialty. I've just posted the first two trial mixes so I'd be curious if you think this makes a substantial difference?
This is a "timed comment" that I made right as the tune entered into its "bridge". I can make the note while the player continues thus saving loads of time. And, the SoundCloud player shows all the comments received across the board... Scary, but helpful!
