The new holiday single "Mister Kringle's" by Denver band Dressy Bessy is dedicated to and inspired by lead singer Tammy Ealom’s father Terry Atherton, a life-long record collector, dealer, and music lover, who succumbed to terminal illness in February 2011. Ealom reflects, "My dad was a mod in the sixties, so it's really no wonder why I turned out the way I did. From the time he gave me my first record ("Hang On Sloopy" by The McCoys) he has always been a major influence on my music and me. In life I've gone through different periods, but I always come back to the sixties... that's my dad… so I really think he will live on in my memories and my music. In the end, everything I do is just for mom and dad anyway."
