Sick man. Vocal work is tight.
More variation in the beat to punctuate the bassline would work wonders. get those kicks and snares snapping down on those wobbles for extra force :) Sound quality is on point tho.
Interesting blend of styles. Well mixed but the pacing and progression seems a bit awkward at times. Keep that build and release of tension flowing :)
Forgive the assumption if I'm wrong but sounds like you might be quite new to the game. I'd highly recommend searching google for the dubstep production bible on dubstepforum dot com. Some very useful stuff in there. Something I will say is that 'groove' is an essential part of electronic music, to me. To achieve a strong groove your melodies and your drums have to be complimenting eachother and pushing eachother. The best way to do this is having them follow roughly the same time and hit at the same time. Using kick drums to emphasize a bass wobble adds extra force and snapping down a snare at a rest in your bassline will emphasize the pause. It all needs to work together. I only say this as there's a certain looseness to the flow of this track at the minute while the LFO on the bass synths is flowing over the top of the beat without any real punctuation. Just something to keep in mind :)
Good transitions and nice flow to the mix. Some of the harmonics are a bit off in places. If you don't already I'd suggest looking into Mixed in Key or a similar program t help you analyze the key your tracks are in so you know which ones will blend harmonically.
Interesting remix. Those breaks could use a littttle more work tho. Having short snappy hits with a few complimentary layers is key to getting a punchy driving dnb beat. Experiment with shorter decay envelopes on your snares and hats. creating space in your mix is essential.
Sick bars in this one. Nice work. The beat could use a bit more of a bassline though I'd say. Those 808's are hitting but they aren't very dynamic if you get me. anyway keep it up. ez
Oh daaaamn. This one hits. Nice synths on this and a good groove to the switch ups. Big sound and strong energy. Nice work.
Nice groove on this one! I think that bassline could use a bit more presence though. It's got a nice sound but it's a bit too low in the mix. Only thing I might add to this would be some more variation in the percussion as the track progresses. Break out those open hats and get that slide going :D
Good choice of sounds. very full sounding blend and everything sits nicely in the mix. nice work.
Some good sounds but there's a lack of groove. layering your bass synths with a clean sine sub bass will give your basslines more presence. and then enveloping your bassline to tuck into your beat (kicks and snares mainly) will give it some push and groove.
Some interesting ideas in here. I think you could really benefit from focusing on getting a hard groove going with your kick and snare though, that's essential in techno. Your beat is your backbone, everything else builds off the kickline. You should be able to stand up and dance in your room to just your kick line looping :) Hard hits with a good peak in the bass at 100hz are best :)
Nice groove on this beat but the hits need more layering. The bass stabs definitely need a sub layer to beef them up a bit. Keep that beat evolving and keep those breaks shuffling :) Vocal work is tight tho, keep at it.
@Falter: My pleasure man :)
Solid work on this one. All the elements come together nicely but there's not enough variation in the percussion for my taste. It gets a bit stale. Try introducing and removing elements throughout the track. You dont even have to change the patterns really, just switching out layers can have the right effect or changing envelope lengths of your hits. Keep on it. :)
Nice blends and solid transitions. track selection works together and progresses nicely. Good work.
Nice sounds here but the main synths are overpowering the mix and drowning out your percussion. You should make sure that your lead synths and your main hats and percs occupy different frequency ranges to leave breathing room. Managing space in a mixdown is essential to a good sound and good play-out value.
quite nice blends. Finally someone who mixes without doing straight cuts at each transition. Not really my style of music but I can appreciate a solid mix :)
Really nice sub bass going here. Good control of the pace of the track as well. Mixdown sounds good, nothing to criticize, nice work :)
some interested styles going on here. The groove between the beat and the bass synths could be a little tighter though. The more often your drums and bass sounds hit on time with eachother the better the groove of the track and the more danceable it is, I find. Just something to think about :)
Yeahhhh some classic house vibes here. Nice chords. Good vocal work. I think this track could benefit a bit from some more variation in precussion and perhaps a grooving funk bassline? That's just personal preference really but It feels like the sub is being a little neglected :)
Was expecting something much more mellow when I read prog house haha. Very nice surprise though. Your mixdown is pretty solid but I feel the bass might be slightly overpowering your mix, use a spectrum analyzer to check which frequencies are dominating your mix and adjust accordingly. Also reference on a few diff sets of spekers/headphones. :)
Cool vibe to this one. The Reverb you have, while it sounds good, is blurring the groove of your tune tho. It's good to render whatever you're reverbing with the reverb on, and then manually envelope the tail to tuck under the next hit. gives some nice push to the track, give it a try :)
Feeling some of these tunes. Liking this dubbed out track here. good mix. get some loops and blends going though, the straight cuts kill the flow a bit.
Flow is good and production value is tight. not bad guys keep on it.
Interesting mix of sounds. The levels are a bit off though mate. Those snares are hitting way harder than the melodies. Use a spectrum analyzer to get things on level if you're not using proper monitors :)
Haven't heard much stuff like this before. Unique style but the speed and disorganization of the synth patterns blurs the overall groove a bit. The more your beat and melodies hit on the same timing the more groove you can achieve in your tunes.
Pretty raw. Was going to say this is a bit more half time but it kicked up to full time at the end. digging the transition. Synths are a bit too raw for me but that's just taste, production is pretty tight. nice work.
Definitely aptly named. Very choppy but the beat keeps it driving and flowing nicely. Feels like the sound quality of those synths you used could be a bit better though. The beat is very clean and those sound a bit rough. try middling them out a bit.
haha some jokes bars. the vibe you got going on in this one is tight. nice work mate.
Very unique. Liquidy sounds with a techy vibe... interesting. Vocals don't quite do it for me but that's just preference :)
Not familiar with either of these tunes but it just sounds like one track to me so must be a good mashup :P
Hearing lots of sharp cuts but not enough blends and EQing to bring in the next track. It's a matter of preference really but I like my mixes to have a nice gradual flow. strong blending is tricky but rewarding :)
Nice liquid vibe. The beat could use a slightly better mixdown. I also find that high snappy snares layered with a clap or rimshot partnered with a kick that punches around 100hz with a natural kick drum punch layered over the top give the best drive and sound on dnb breaks. :)
Solid production and your flow and tone are on point. Good in your face presentation. Nice work.
Nice progression to this track. good lyrics and phrasing. I think your tunes could really benefit from some bass to give it a bit more depth of mood, just my take :)
That's a pretty sick sound going there. Given me some inspiration for a dub techno tune I'm working on :) Solid production.
Sick production value on both of the tunes I've heard from you so far. Nice work. Percussion is on point. Just be careful with that reverb sending some of those nice hits too far back in the mix :)
