Factory Owl is the band created by Alex Millaire to celebrate his love for classical and rock music. The drive of rock music is met with the subtleties of classical orchestration to offer the public songs that are colourful, raw and refined, all at once. Coming on the heels of two Master's degrees and a decade of playing in rock bands, Factory Owl is really a dream come true.

The band is formed of a rock core with a changing array of orchestral instruments giving colour and refinement to the sound. Currently in Factory Owl is myself on guitar and voice, Don Charette on drums, Steve Patterson on bass and sax, with Michelle Pinard on violin, Allan Kinney on keys and clarinet, and Graham McVeety and Maxime Charron on flute. WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A CELLIST IN OTTAWA and are interested in collaborating with virtually any musician provided they can follow a score, bring a smile to practices and rock out at shows!

Factory Owl is currently looking to meet musicians and form ensembles wherever we go. Cities we're currently looking to play include Montreal, Kingston and Toronto and anything in between. Ensembles we'd like to collaborate with include String Quartets, Woodwind Ensembles, Big Bands, Professional Orchestras, High School Concert Bands, Jazz Bands & Orchestras, Choirs & Children's Choirs and anything is between. Our goal is to share some beautiful music with the world, and we're happy for any help you can offer.

Factory Owl est le groupe que formé par Alex Millaire pour célébrer son amour de la musique classique et rock. L'élan de la musique rock se voit rehausser par les couleurs orchestrales qui prête au tout un caractère à la fois brut et raffiné. Après dix ans au sein de différents arrangments rock et deux maîtrise en musique, Factory Owl est pour moi un rêve devenu réalité.

Factory Owl se constitue d'un noyau de musiciens rock accompagné de musiciens orchestraux. En plus de moi à la guitare et voix, Don Charette à la batterie et Steve Patterson à la basse électrique et au saxo, on retrouve aussi Michelle Pinard au violin, Allan Kinney au synthé et clarinette, et Graham McVeety et Maxime Charron à la flûte. NOUS NOUS CHERCHONS PRÉSENTEMENT UN VIOLONCELLISTE À OTTAWA et nous sommes aussi intéressé à collaborer avec des musiciens de tout genre pourvu qu'il puisse suivre des partitions, apporter sa bonne humeur aux pratiques et se défouler sur scène!

Factory Owl cherche présentement à rencontrer des musiciens et former des ensembles sur notre parcours. On retrouve Montréal, Kingston et Toronto parmi les villes où nous aimerions performer, et l'entre-deux est aussi intéressant. On cherche aussi à collaborer avec des Quatuors à Corde, Ensembles de Vents, Big Bands, Orchestres Professionels, Harmonies, Jazz Band et Orchestres d'Écoles Secondaires, Chorales & Chorales d'Enfants, et l'entre-deux est aussi intéressant. Notre but en tant que groupe est de partager de la belle musique avec le monde, et nous sommes reconnaissant de tou aide vous pouvez nous offrir.
