About
Carlos Yee, born in Mexico City, has developed a special taste for electronic music. The name, “Biodanza” stems from a series of experiences he had with different styles of electronic music starting in Mexico around 1998 and later in New York. The first flashes in his DJ career began in the afterparties in 2003.
DJ Biodanza has worked with organizations such as Spiritual Beings ( ISR ), Caffix Records (MX), and has participated in renowned festivals such as Boom Festival in Portugal and Rhythms of Peace in Morocco. These festivals wakened his interest in taking an independent path as a creative artist and inspired the founding of the Colectivo FastForward in Puerto Vallarta.
Today, he devotes his time to the production of Minimal Techno and to the rapidly-evolving organization,Colectivo Fast Forward , that he created in 2010 with Joaquin Estrada ( DJ Smurf ) and Israel Mascareno (DJ Krishnalid). The name FastForward has awakened the local electronic music scene in Puerto Vallarta.
Now Biodanza’s blend of beats - from Minimal Trance, Progressive House, Techno, Tech-house, and Minimal - can be heard throughout the wide circuit of ever-changing venues in Puerto Vallarta. Biodanza’s sets are rhythmic and deliciously danceable, moving from echoey and progressive grooves to psychedelic textures.
DJ Biodanza seeks to join together with other talents and to create a working plan for the future through festivals and gatherings along Mexico and the West Coast of the United States.
