I was born in Mexico, a country with a rich variety of folklore and culture. My appreciation of art, because of the experiences it allows the brain to create, crosses over into my belief of music as an art form. For me, “music” is actually how different sounds blend to create a new perspective of reality. That’s why I appreciate such varied genres; from roots to classical and experimental. Some of my favourite artists are: Beethoven, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Royksopp, Sven Vath, War, Mike Oldfield, Enya and lots more… =).
Since I was a little creature, I had a natural instinct for records and sounds. I remember vividly when I was 7, my mum bought me my first record (the soundtrack of Toy Story). At school, I used to play for the orchestra any instrument I could, including the flute, percussions, bongos and guiro.
I believe past experiences shape the future, especially when it comes to musical appreciation. In 2001 at the age of 13, I visited my father in Ibiza and he gave me a compilation of popular house music at the time. This is where my love of house was born. After 12 years of listening, mixing and creating, here I am still learning the great art of Djing.
In the future I want to study the science of sound engineering and continue being involved in music for as long as my hearing allows.
