Bassnectar is pleased to release a new remix of The Deftones’ “Prince”. This head-banging gem has been in the works all summer, and in the words of Lorin Ashton himself, it’s a “mad mix of deep, heavy, grinding guitars with glistening dubstep beats and the amazing vocals of Chino Moreno, lead vocalist of The Deftones.” The track, meant originally to be featured on the upcoming Wildstyle EP (out in October), is available for free download.

Wrapping up a massive fall tour, Bassnectar is performing on New Year’s Eve in Atlanta. Earlybird tickets will be available at on Friday, September 24 at midnight EST. Bassnectar will have hit nearly every nook and cranny of the continent before 2010 sees its end. A full list of tour dates is below.

Bassnectar is the brainchild of Lorin Ashton, and it exists as an open-sourced musical project that is as diverse as it is heavy, as raw as it is meticulous, and as fierce as it is imaginary. Spanning the spectrum of sonic style, the music covers every genre imaginable and smashes it all into a synthesis of intense, wobbling basslines and hypnotic soundscapes.

THE WILDSTYLE EP has an official release date of October 19th! There are 6 brand new songs, plus remixes, available in CD & digital formats with vinyl to follow
