Explicit was born on October 20th 1986, & raised in Chandler Arizona, located in the East Valley of the Phoenix area. His 1st attempt at writing a verse was at the age of 15 with his cousin Jason Schultz during their summer break from school, it was mostly out of boredom and sheer "Can I do that" type of thinking that lead to a life changing, long, & prosperous journey which still continues day to day for the young, experienced, talented rapper. It was this completely random and "dumb luck" occurrence that took place in the teenager's life that really made him realize he had a gift, as the verse he wrote to an old "Master P." instrumental that summer day turned out to be much better than his cousins verse, who was a year his senior. Throughout his life, Explicit always had a niche for english class, especially when it came to learning new vocabulary words, reading, and poetry. He consistently was being complimented on his poetry, and at the age of 18 actually won a nation wide poetry contest held by "WWW.Poetry.Com", for his poem titled "Life Is A Blur", a poem about a the life of a person who does drugs and the effects it has on that persons mind, body, and soul in which Explicit wrote in his bedroom hungover recouping from such a life lived the night before in less than 10 minutes! It was this event that not only gave the young artist the confidence he needed to take his rap career to the next level, where it was no longer a hobby, but a lifestyle instead, the event also showed him how writing from the heart, no matter how embarrassing or private the matter is, is a very powerful and efficient way to reach the masses. When he decided to take rap to the next level he was 18, by that time he had already released 1 solo album completely produced and sold by himself and his right hand man and fellow rapper "Steezy", named "Violence". It was that record which caught the ear of another rap group in his home town of Chandler, that went by "The Kryp-A-Lataz" and frontman Johnny Thomason (AKA Johnny Audio) had seen Explicit at a house party soon after hearing the young artist's cd that was floating around Chandler at the time. Johnny Audio asked Explicit if he would like to do a track, Explicit agreed, and they recorded "U See Us", the 1st song of a long and impressive collaboration between the 2 frontman's and their crew's. The 2 artist combined forces for an album and called the 2 merged groups "Charisma" a group that consisted of Johnny Audio, Explicit, Mikey P., Steezy, J-Note, and J.2 and named the Album they created "The Collaboration". The merge seemed to be the start of a great thing for both Johnny Audio & Explicit as they fed off of each other's passion and separate skill sets they possessed. After that merge Johnny Audio continued working with Explicit & Steezy on their next album which was to be titled "The G's Of The Round Table", making almost 100% of the beats, & recording every song intended for the album. However when the duo had been a third of the way finished with this album life proved to be to much to juggle music, work, run in's with the law, and failing love life's that both Explicit & Steezy encountered during this time. It was decided the Album would be put on hold for a little while they picked up the peices, yet they would never be able to put humpty dumpty back together again and the album picked up the nick name "Flop" in Johnny Audio's music files. Since then Explicit has hung on by a thread, releasing single's and feature's with no real promising sign of a complete album until recently in the beginning of 2013 when fans were shocked to see new songs and video's emerging from the artist like somebody lit a fire under his ass! The post's he leaves on Facebook have been promising an album he has been calling "Plenty Of Room In The Desert" & warning to expect soon "Real SOON" to be exact. With songs like "Times Is Hard" & "I'm Fucked Up" already available for free DL on select site's, it sure does make a lot of people wonder what is to come? With no official release date set yet, we will all have to wait and see... Hopefully not to long!
