About

Jeroen Bax aka exm started making electronic music at the tender age of 10 years old. Using old tape recorders, cheap echo units and an ancient PC, Jeroen began his search for strange and interesting sounds – an obsession that has stayed with him ever since.

Jeroen’s broad taste in electronic music formed the platform for his early experimentation with dub styles, drum and bass and acid, but it was when he was introduced to the music of more experimental artists such as Autechre and Aphex Twin that his spatial, atmospheric sound started to take shape.

Added to this new, focused direction, came more powerful computers and more advanced music software that gave him the tools he needed to craft his music. However, Jeroen continues to use a variety of techniques and instruments to create his music and refuses to be tied down to one process - remembering his early days of audio exploration has given him a very open and free thinking approach to creating the perfect atmosphere.
