Having had no formal musical training of any kind, Luke Emrose began writing music at the age of 10, experimenting with constructing songs on an Amiga 500 using the famous Tracker - Octamed v4, then progressing to Madtracker on the PC.
Since then, he has traveled through many different electronic genres, settling in to Drum and Bass in 2000, when he met fellow DnB lover Mark7, co-creating the huge hit Like The Sun with vocalist Lana, which was nominated for the 2005 South Australian Dance Music Awards, placing 3rd.
Next on the list was a world wide DnB vinyl release on 5158 records ( 5158-001 ) which included Like The Sun and the extremely successful Gimme' Something, where he teamed up with the Australian Idol finalist Lesley, and Mark7, Skyver and D-Jon, receiving airplay as far abroad as the UK, and getting remix releases on Technique Records.
In 2007 Luke began freelance music composition, using Ableton Live, and since then has worked on scores for short films, such as Dying Ice, numerous book trailers for Random House Australia, including the successful Ranger's Apprentice campaign, adding classical and film composition skills to his repertoire.
Currently, under the moniker of evolutionary theory, and still a devout Ableton Live user, he is experimenting with the boundaries of genre divisions, actively producing his main musical passion, Drum and Bass, Classical, Film, Funk, Breakbeat, Trance, Techno and anything else with a solid beat or story to tell.
He is also, FINALLY, taking professional piano and music theory lessons to hone his skills ;-)
During all this time, Luke has worked as a Visual Effects Artist / Technical Director and Core Research and Development Programmer for various film projects.
His official work history is available here:

He is currently at Flying Bark Productions in Sydney, as a Lighting and Rendering Technical Director on Blinky Bill the Movie.
